Pastor Matt Angell was born & raised in Marseilles, Illinois. He graduated Olivet Nazarene University in 2006 with a B.S. in Pastoral Ministry. After college, he began to serve as associate pastor of The Sanctuary Church, a church plant located in Bloomington, IL. While serving at The Sanctuary Church, one parishioner wanted to play match-maker. She introduced Matt to Jacki. They fell in love and got married on June 6, 2009. Matt serves as our Family Life Pastor and works closely with volunteers to minister to families with school-aged children and teens. He’s a Cubs fan, so he’s happy to be living in a state with fewer Cardinals fans. He enjoys music and acting, directing and writing plays and skits. You can follow him on
